Fiona Morrison

Based in Melbourne, Fiona is one of our engagement managers, handling backlog management of Salsa’s CivicTheme, Merlin and Launchpad products.

Fiona works on managing resources and resource allocation on three of Salsa’s main products: CivicTheme, Merlin and Launchpad. As an engagement manager, she is also responsible for story and Jira ticket writing, as well as product backlog management.

Fiona will be working on client projects as required, making sure they run smoothly — on schedule and on budget.

Previous experience

Fiona started her professional career at Charles Darwin University, where she held various roles over 17 years. Her positions included photographer, photography and drawing lecturer, and digital content producer.

She also spent seven years working as a news photographer for News Ltd’s Northern Territory News. At the NT News she covered a wide variety of news photography including many local crocodile stories!

In 2017, Fiona moved back to Melbourne and, before starting with Salsa, spent six years working at Victoria University. She worked as a web content coordinator, digital producer, senior manager of UX and design, product owner and scrum master.

Fiona has extensive experience in Drupal CMS migration, Drupal upgrades, backlog management, agile project management, agile methodologies and managing large-scale digital projects for higher education institutes.
