Based in Melbourne, Rashed is a DevOps engineer working on Salsa’s new hosting platform.
Rashed is working with the Salsa hosting team to design and build Salsa’s new, advanced hosting platform based entirely on open source components. He uses his DevOps skills to work with the team setting up and monitoring the platform.
The platform is cloud-first and based on Kubernetes, with a strong focus on security and automated monitoring.

Previous experience
Rashed is new to the web development world and IT industry, having recently completed his Master of Engineering Technology.
While studying, Rashed worked with Ultimate Security Australia for the past 3 years, providing services such as security monitoring and social engineering attack awareness for retail operations. He has DevOps experience helping to build, test and automate cloud infrastructure for enterprise projects.
