Angela started with Salsa working across both human resources and managing the Salsa Service Desk. In November 2023, she moved into the people and culture role full time.

Previous experience

Angela has 26 years’ experience working in disability services, mental health and aged care at a middle and senior management level. She’s worked across service management, human resources, and quality and compliance. She was a key member of the Human Resource team responsible for the redevelopment of Kew Residential Services redeploying over 500 staff. She’s also written a response for the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. Angela’s roles have mostly been in the not-for-profit sector.

Some of her professional achievements include:

  • Managing a startup's NDIS re-accreditation process and receiving full conformance — the first time a startup received conformance for their first re-accreditation process

  • Receiving an Ethel Temby Scholarship from Victoria’s Department of Health and Human Services (now Department of Health) and travelling to the UK to spend time learning how disability service providers delivered services and support to individuals using a person-centred framework

  • Receiving a Council of Intellectual Disability Agencies Distinguished Services Award for implementing and influencing person-centred practice across industry

Angela has also taught the Certificate IV and Diploma in Community Services at Box Hill Institute for 6 years.

Hobbies and fun facts

  • Running, essential oils, pilates, practising mindfulness, having a good laugh with friends and spending time with my 3 kids and husband

  • I’ve also served as a volunteer on school council boards, including as chairperson for 4 years
