The details on this page represents the goal, activities, deliverables and resources for conducting a visual mapping as part of a site migration project.
The visual mapping is step 5 of a 24 step project delivery process Salsa has designed for migrating (or upgrading) sites from a legacy or proprietary CMS to Drupal 9.

1B: Mapping
Goal
Map all source CMS site theme templates and visual elements to Drupal 8/9 theme templates and visual elements
Activities
Offline mapping of all source CMS site theme templates and visual elements to equivalent “like for like” theme templates and visual elements in Drupal 8/9
Identify and capture any gaps where no equivalent theme templates or visual elements are available.
Workshop with stakeholder(s) / product owner to validate visual mappings and discuss how to address gaps.
Document all visual mappings including solutions to gaps
