Why you might want user testing packages
There are several reasons you might need user testing packages, including:
Limited in-house resources: Your internal resources may not have the capacity to carry out structured user testing on your site.
No testing experts in-house: Your internal resources may not have specialised user testing expertise to carry out formal structured user testing including developing test plans and scripts for your site.
New functionality: You’ve recently added a new feature and want to ensure it’s functioning as intended and/or validate the user's experience.
Lack of formal UAT processes: A UAT package will ensure thorough testing of your site following Salsa’s methodical and proven process.
Benefits of user testing packages
There are many benefits of user testing packages, such as:
Identification of user experience or technical issues: Formal, in-depth user testing helps to identify and diagnose any issues with your site, such as problems with your site’s structure (information architecture (IA)), navigation paths, or search configuration.
Improved multi-device, multi-browser user experience: User testing ensures that your site works as expected across multiple formats (desktop, tablet and mobile) and across multiple browsers (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, etc.) to ensure a consistent and well functioning user experience.
Maintaining site performance: consistent and thorough user testing ensures your site is performing as expected after upgrades, deployments, enhancements and other major technical activities.
Engagement process
Review questionnaire or brief: Agency to complete a light questionnaire (or send Salsa a high level project brief) reflecting basic requirements and/or project key business drivers.
Intake and alignment: Salsa conducts a free 30-45 minute intake phone call to align on scope, expectations and overall engagement requirements based on the questionnaire or brief.
Testing: Salsa experts conduct relevant testing activities on your site.
Report: Salsa prepares and delivers a report on the user testing results, including findings and recommendations.
Outputs
User Testing Site Report with findings and recommendations.
Outcomes
A comprehensive understanding of any issues or problems on your site from a visitor experience, content author experience or features/functionality perspective.
Recommendations on how to resolve any problems /issues.
Fixed price packages
Salsa offers fixed price packages across four different areas:
Visitor experience: We experience your site as a visitor would, exploring different areas, features and functionality using different internet browsers and different devices (desktop, tablet and mobile). This is formalised by our extensive checklist.
Content author experience: We’ll test the backend of your CMS, including the important content publishing workflow and make recommendations on how to improve it.
User acceptance testing with user acceptance criteria: We test your site or specific feature/functionality against existing, written user acceptance criteria. In this instance, you’ll usually have a fully groomed backlog of user stories, with user acceptance criteria set for each one.
User acceptance testing without user acceptance criteria: We work with you to define and document user acceptance criteria and then test your site/feature against these criteria.
The cost of our fixed price packages depends on the number of content types.
