A Salsa tradition

Every year, Salsarians vote for the Salsa champion for that year. Each person can give one team member three points, one two points and one person one point. They can also leave a comment for each point allocation.

It’s always a lot of fun at the Christmas party, when the comments and points are read out, tallied and then the impressive cup is awarded!

Antoine Osanz takes home the cup (again)

This year, Antoine Osanz is the Salsa champion, with 23 points. This marks Antoine’s third Salsa championship (he was champion in 2017 and 2020) and was especially poignant because Antoine had recently decided to move into the higher education sector and his last day was 10 December — 5 days after he was crowned champion.

Alan Cole stands next to Antoine Osanz who is holding the Salsa Champion Cup.
Last year’s champion (Alan Cole) hands the cup over to the new champion, Antoine Osanz.

Some of Antoine’s three-point comments included:

  • His outstanding knowledge across all areas of the company, combined with his ability to guide employees through learning and delivery, empowers them to achieve their best.
  • You deserve more than 3 man, Respect :)
  • Even on his way out this bloke keeps kicking goals.

The runners up

This year, the runners up were Angela Rako (hot on Antoine’s heels with 22 points) followed by Salsa newcomer Jonathan Nagy (19 points and making his mark in Salsa quickly).
