About the CivicTheme gameshow
On day 2 of DrupalSouth 2024, Salsa hosted a live, interactive gameshow. DrupalSouth attendees could register for the gameshow, and four lucky participants were selected at random. There were Visa gift cards totalling $1000 up for grabs, with the winner set to take home $500.
The running sheet
The gameshow host, Akhil Bhandari, kicked off the session with a brief overview of the CivicTheme design — what it is and how it works. Next, he handed to the CivicTheme Design Lead Alan Rako who showed participants a mockup homepage he’d created using CivicTheme out-of-the-box components. The hypothetical homepage for Drupal Community Heroes also gave participants the chance to stamp their own design flare on the pages, selecting their preferred components and images.

And the winner is…

Reflections of a CivicTheme gameshow host
“Up until 30 minutes before the show we were still refining the event! It was touch and go, but in the end it went extremely well and we all had a lot of fun!”
