Welcome Brendan
Salsarian since December 2021
Salsa is thrilled to welcome Brendan to the Salsa Digital team. Brendan is Salsa’s Level 1 Service Desk Agent and is the first level of support for Salsa support clients. Brendan is the liaison between Salsa customers and the Salsa tech development team.
He supports our clients with log issues and refers or actions all new ticket requests, while communicating with our clients to keep them up-to-date on progress.
About Brendan
Brendan has had an interesting career to say the least, and has a wide range of skills and experience from his past employment roles.
When Brendan left school, he started in hospitality and spent 8 years living in the Middle East. While there, he transitioned from hospitality management to logistics and marketing and began working with DB Schenker, a German logistics company in Dubai.
In 2017, Brendan moved back to Australia and began working in his friend's company doing e-marketing and e-commerce logistics. Brendan and his wife then started their own drop shipping and consulting company, Digital Cactus.
Brendan currently works at Salsa part-time, 24 hours a week, as well as working within his own business.
Why Salsa?
Brendan believes in Salsa’s vision, purpose and mission of building a transparent government. He feels this is an ethical and noble cause. “I loved chatting with Alfred in the interview. He’s a very dynamic leader, and the initial onboarding I had with him, I really bought into the vision as well.”
He also appreciates the lifestyle and culture that Salsa offers — having the ability to work from home in an innovative field while continuing to work in his own business. As Brendan and his wife have recently had their first child, working with Salsa provides him with the opportunity to be with his family more during this stage in their lives.
Brendan enjoys how engaging and inviting the Salsa team is. “I also love how the team is big into championing others. Everyone is always championing the next person, which was cool to see."
Brendan lives in Coffs Harbour, on the Mid North Coast of NSW, with his wife and child.
