Based in Goa, India, Joshua is a highly experienced Drupal backend (BE) developer.

As a BE developer, Joshua uses various languages, APIs and programs to execute migration projects, GovCMS and Victoria’s Single Digital Presence projects. He works closely with Salsa’s open source migration tool, Merlin, to build structured representations of markup to help with migration between the systems.

Joshua is highly experienced in developing custom REST and SOAP web services, including integration with AWS Services and Salesforce and headless/decoupled web-based/component-based development. His daily activities involve agile methodologies including scrum/kanban.

Previous experience

Joshua has over 10 years’ experience in web development. He is a creative programmer skilled in both frontend and backend development, technical and non-technical training, and mentoring.

Joshua first started working with Salsa in 2021 as a senior full stack developer via our development partner Axelerant. Before this, Joshua worked as a Drupal contributor for 7 years while also working with SJ Innovation LLC as a software developer and senior software engineer, working closely with clients to establish problem specifications and system designs.

Since 2013, he has also been self-employed as a software engineer, programmer and educator with Fernandes Educational Technologies, connecting with educational institutes to help them make full use of technology.
